Viamedia.ai Research Finds Proprietary Local-First Identity (LFID) Segments Deliver More Than Double the Audience Reach of Third-Party Audiences
Privacy-first audiences powered by Viamedia’s proprietary Geo-Graph™ intelligence give advertisers privacy-safe reach at scale
LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Viamedia.ai, a next-generation ad tech company focusing on scaling a local-first omnichannel operating system, today announced new research showing that its proprietary Local-First Identity (LFID) segments, built on its ViaIQ intelligence platform, deliver 2.3x the reach of comparable third-party behavioral segments.
Viamedia’s trading and analytics teams tested five audiences built with LFIDs and ViaIQ against comparable third-party data segments across the same zip code footprint. Each LFID segment offered greater reach, and cumulatively the five delivered 2.3x the number of reachable consumers. Several audiences exceeded 3x the reach, and the adults 50+ audience reached 5.2x as many consumers.
For advertisers, that means larger addressable audiences without relying on third-party identifiers, less wasted frequency, and more room to scale campaigns in the markets that matter most.
“As cookies continue to decline, advertisers need consistent targeting that reaches consumers and drives performance at scale,” said Evan Rutchik, President and Chief Strategy Officer, Viamedia.ai. “Geo-Graph™ tells us where an audience is most concentrated. LFIDs replace the identifier, turning that intelligence into an audience we can activate across every channel. That combination, powered by our proprietary technology and privacy-safe, local insights, has tremendous scale upside for advertisers.”
LFID is the audience currency at the center of ViaIQ, Viamedia’s intelligence platform. ViaIQ combines Viamedia’s first-party data, built from 25 years of linear video history, with audience insights from Geo-Graph™.
Geo-Graph™ is built on Uber's H3 hexagonal grid system, which maps every market with no gaps and no overlaps. Unlike zip codes and DMAs, which vary in size and often overlap, H3 divides each market into uniform hexagons, so every household cluster falls into exactly one hexagon and is counted once. That structure lets Viamedia find audiences that traditional geographic targeting misses, driving incremental reach, while deduplicating audiences across channels so advertisers don't pay to reach the same households twice.
Viamedia recently launched ViaIQ as part of its local-first omnichannel operating system, alongside ViaOS, its AI-enabled planning and activation platform, and ViaSSP, its local-first supply-side platform.
LFID audiences are available now to advertisers and agencies anywhere in the US. To request additional information, contact info@viamedia.ai or visit www.Viamedia.ai.
